XPeng Expands to Europe, Plans to Introduce Affordable Electric Vehicles by 2026

XPeng, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, is making a significant move into the European market. The company, known for its innovative and high-quality vehicles, aims to have a wide range of Mona products introduced on the Chinese, European, and global markets by 2026.

In an optimistic statement, XPeng's CEO, He Xiaopeng, expressed confidence that by this time, XPeng will have well-established and excellent vehicles on the market. He further added that the international expansion is progressing faster than expected. However, the exact timeline for the arrival of the Mona models in Europe has not been announced yet.

While XPeng has not yet made a public statement regarding the production of the Mona models in Europe, the company has already opened order books in Germany for the new G6 and G9. The flagship SUV G9 begins at 59,600 Euro for the RWD Standard Range, and the G6 starts at 47,600 Euro. The prices for the Standard Range version of the G6 with a smaller battery have not been announced yet.

The prices for the Mona models in Europe will be significantly higher due to additional EU tariffs on Chinese-built electric vehicles. However, XPeng has assured that the Mona electric vehicles will be more affordable in Europe than its previous models, with the Mona M03 starting at approximately 14,200 Euro in China.

The EU has anti-dumping duties on heavily state-subsidized Chinese electric vehicles, effective since late 2024, which are encouraging more manufacturers to produce locally. Despite this, XPeng has not yet decided on the timeline for local production in Europe.

He Xiaopeng stated that the company plans to bring the Mona models to Europe next year. However, the dates for the appearance of these models in Europe, as announced by XPeng, are not specific. The EU market is a significant step for XPeng, and the company's entry into this market is eagerly awaited.

In addition to the G6 and G9, the P7 sedan can be ordered starting at 49,600 Euro. As XPeng continues to expand its offerings to Europe, it is expected that the company will provide more details about the Mona models and their launch dates in the near future.
