Web server innovator introduces swift, vape-driven technology - 'VapeServer', propelled by a 24 MHz Arm chip and boasting 24 KB of flash memory, 3 KB of SRAM.

In an unexpected turn of events, a vape device has been repurposed to create a web server, dubbed the VapeServer, by none other than BogdanTheGeek. The project, now available on GitHub, aims to push the boundaries of technology and challenge traditional norms.

Initially, the vape-powered web server faced issues, with '503' errors suggesting overloading due to an influx of visitors. To address these performance issues, Bogdan added a buffer and batched writes, significantly improving the server's capabilities.

Before these enhancements, Bogdan's initial tests revealed pings of approximately 1.5 seconds and a simple page load taking a staggering 20 seconds. However, after the modifications, ping times were reduced to a mere 20 milliseconds with no packet loss, and full-page loading was achieved in about 160 milliseconds.

However, it was found that the main issue with the server's performance was within Bogdan's code. Despite this setback, the VapeServer's potential remains undeniable.

Curious about the microcontroller that inspired this groundbreaking project? It's the Puya PY32F002B, a 24 MHz Arm Cortex-M0+ MCU with 24 KB flash and 3 KB SRAM, found in one of the fancier disposable vapes.
