VW Unveils New Bus Variants in 2025: More Options for People and Cargo
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is set to unveil new variants of the iconic VW Bus in 2025, catering to both passenger and commercial needs. The updates include the Transporter, Caravelle, California, and the electric ID. Buzz Cargo models.
The new Transporter will offer a panel van plus, designed for combined transport of people and goods, with up to six seats and a partition with a window between the passenger and cargo area. Additionally, a panel van with an L-shaped metal partition will allow the transport of long objects on the driver's side and have up to two individual seats in the second row.
Powering these new variants will be a range of turbo diesel engines, from 110 PS (81 kW) to 150 PS (110 kW), with optional four-wheel drive 4Motion. An electric drive with up to 210 kW (286 PS) will also be available, reflecting Volkswagen's commitment to sustainable mobility.
For those requiring a flatbed truck, the Transporter will offer a double cabin variant with up to six seats and a 4.2 m² loading area.
Prices for these new variants will start at 38,525 euros for the panel van plus, 39,990 euros for the panel van with L-partition, and 41,158 euros for the flatbed with double cabin, all prices without VAT and valid as of August 2025. These new variants are set to provide customers with more options to suit their specific needs, whether it's transporting people, goods, or both.
