Upcoming Apple releases: Anticipated unveilings of the M5 iPad Pro, revamped MacBook models, anticipated iPhone 17e, plus additional announcements
Apple is gearing up for an exciting product lineup in the coming years, with several new devices expected to hit the market. Here's a rundown of what we can anticipate from the tech giant in the near future.
Firstly, the iPad Pro is set to receive an update with the M5 chip, potentially as early as October this year. Notably, this model is rumoured to feature a portrait-facing front camera, in addition to the landscape one.
Moving on to the MacBook Pro, the much-awaited device with the M5 chip is expected to arrive early next year, marking a departure from the usual fall timeline.
In the realm of wearables, Apple is reportedly working on a refreshed version of the Vision Pro headset. This updated version is expected to boast a better processor and a redesigned headband, offering an enhanced user experience. However, it's worth noting that the thinner and lighter Vision Pro 2 is not expected until 2027.
The iPhone 17e, a follow-up to the iPhone 16e, is slated for launch in the first half of 2026. This device is expected to feature the same A19 chip as the iPhone 17.
Apple's smart home ecosystem is also set for an expansion. A new smart home hub is in the works, with a possible release date in spring 2026. This device was initially planned for March 2025 but has been delayed.
The MacBook Air is also due for an M5 upgrade, with the update expected in the first quarter of 2026.
In the world of home entertainment, the next Apple TV is said to come with a faster processor and new wireless technology powered by the N1 chip. Additionally, it's rumoured to support Apple's upgraded Siri voice assistant and upcoming Apple Intelligence features.
Lastly, Apple is reportedly working on two new external monitors, with at least one potentially debuting either late this year or in early 2026.
As for the second-generation AirTag, while no specific details have been revealed, it's expected to include an upgraded wireless chip, offering better range and improved accuracy in finding lost items.
