Unveiling the Grandeur of CES 2025's TVs: OLED, QLED, and Transparent Panels
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 was a spectacle for TV enthusiasts, with major brands like LG, Samsung, and others introducing their latest offerings. While Sony has taken a different approach in recent years, LG and Samsung continue to dominate the show with their innovative and high-quality TVs.
The new TVs are packed with advanced technology, boasting upgraded OLED panels, improved audio quality, more intelligent AI, and a host of other updates. Here are a few standout models that caught my attention:
LG G5 OLED
LG has always been synonymous with premium OLED TVs, and the new LG G5 OLED is no exception. This model features a four-stack OLED panel, which is significantly brighter than the micro-lens-array technology used in its previous OLED TVs. It also supports a 165Hz refresh rate and is compatible with both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium VRR, making it a great choice for console gamers.

The LG G5 OLED also boasts Brightness Booster Ultimate and Filmmaker Mode, which allows the TV to adjust its brightness based on ambient lighting. The 65-inch model is priced at $2,800.
Samsung's QLED TVs with Anti-Glare Tech
Samsung's popular anti-glare technology from the S95D OLED is now available in its QN990F and QN900F models, part of the Neo QLED range. These new 8K QLED TVs deliver an immersive viewing experience, even in bright environments, thanks to their matte finish. They also provide access to the Samsung Art Store, with over 3,000 art pieces to choose from.

Both models include the Wireless One Connect Box, allowing you to watch 8K content wirelessly. Pricing and availability details for these ultra-premium models are not yet available, but their predecessors start at $3,500.
LG's Transparent OLED Finally Gets a Price Tag
Last year, we were introduced to LG's concept of a transparent TV. At CES 2025, the company announced that the LG OLED T will be available for purchase at a hefty $60,000. The 77-inch transparent 4K OLED TV offers two modes: transparent and opaque. The opaque mode uses a curtain to provide better contrast when needed.

The transparent OLED TV supports Dolby Vision and 4K/120Hz gaming, and it's powered by LG's Alpha AI processor. It's now available for purchase.
CES 2025 also saw new TVs from TCL, Hisense, and Displace, but the aforementioned models are the mainstream high-end TVs that will hit the market this year.
While pricing details are not yet available for the new LG G5 OLED, Samsung QLED TVs with Anti-Glare Tech, and the 4K QLED lineup with a glare-free screen, these models are expected to be available in early spring 2025. Keep an eye on Samsung and LG's websites and retail partners for more information.
The LG G5 OLED, showcased at CES 2025, is anticipated to hit the market in early spring 2025, featuring a significant brightness increase due to its four-stack OLED panel. On the other hand, Samsung's QLED TVs with Anti-Glare Tech, which are part of the Neo QLED range, are also expected to be released around the same time, offering an immersive viewing experience even in bright environments.
