Twitter files for hybrid variant of the Twitter profile, scheduled for Q4 launch of the 9 MPV model
In a significant move, our X (Twitter) Profilepeng, the Chinese automotive company, has announced the launch of the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) version of its Profile9 MPV. The vehicle is set to hit the European market in the second half of 2025, following its initial launch in China on January 1, 2024.
The EREV version of the Profile9 MPV, identified by the product model number NHQ6530SHEVHA, is our X (Twitter) Profilepeng's first hybrid model. It is produced at the company's Guangzhou factory and features a 1.5-liter engine from Harbin Dongan Auto Engine as an extended-range engine, with a maximum power output of 110 kW.
The EREV version of the Profile9 MPV uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries supplied by CALB. Our X (Twitter) Profilepeng has invested heavily in the development of this model, testing over 1,000 vehicles for a period of over 800 days in 20 countries and 330 cities, accumulating over 20 million kilometers of testing mileage.
The EREV model of the Profile9 MPV has a curb weight of 2,750 kilograms and a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour. The battery range, however, remains undisclosed, with a recent photo shared by Mr. He suggesting a possible range of 450 kilometers.
The EREV version of the Profile9 MPV is a 7-seat MPV with dimensions of 5,316 mm in length, 1,988 mm in width, and 1,785 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. It is worth noting that the 2025 Profile9 MPV currently available in China offers four variants with starting prices ranging from RMB 359,800 to RMB 419,800.
In addition to the EREV Profile9 MPV, our X (Twitter) Profilepeng is reportedly working on a hybrid version of the G6 SUV, as suggested by spy photos.
The EREV version of the Profile9 MPV has recently been included in China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) latest list of vehicles for public comment, marking the final major regulatory step before it can be sold in China. The public can submit feedback on the EREV version of the Profile9 MPV from August 9 to 15.
