Tesla's FSD v14 Promises Smoother Drives, Better Navigation & Enhanced Parking
Tesla enthusiasts are in for a treat this week as the company prepares to release Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14, or FSD v14, according to CEO Elon Musk. This update is set to transform the driving experience with several notable improvements.
FSD v14 promises smoother driving thanks to higher camera refresh rates. Navigation on uncharted roads will be enhanced, allowing Tesla vehicles to find their way even where GPS signals are weak. Parking capabilities are set to improve, with traditional Autopilot being phased out in favor of an FSD-based 'Autosteer'.
One feature expected to see significant enhancements is 'Smart Summon', now known as Actually Smart Summon (ASS). While the updates in FSD v14 do not specify improvements for multi-level parking garages, Tesla has acknowledged the limitation of Smart Summon in such environments. Altitude detection or similar sensor-based improvements could potentially address this issue in future updates.
Another exciting feature rumored for FSD v14 is 'Banish'. This allows the car to drop off the owner and then drive away autonomously to park itself, freeing up owners from the hassle of finding a parking spot.
Elon Musk confirmed the FSD v14 upgrade in response to a Tesla owner's query on X. With promises of smoother driving, improved navigation, and enhanced parking capabilities, Tesla owners and enthusiasts alike eagerly await the release of this transformative update.
