Tesla Opens Third Supercharging Station in Langley, British Columbia
Tesla has expanded its charging network in Langley, British Columbia, with the opening of a third Supercharging station. Located at the Riocan Langley Centre along the Langley Bypass, this new station offers competitive pricing and convenient access to nearby amenities.
The latest V4 (also referred to as "V3.5") Supercharger station features 16 stalls, with charging capacity up to 325 kW for compatible vehicles like the Cybertruck. Other vehicles are capped at 250 kW or less depending on compatibility. This site is directly across the street from a previous V4 station, which was the first in Canada.
The new station is ideally situated for drivers who want to grab a meal or run errands while charging. The Riocan Langley Centre is home to a variety of dining options, including Milestones, Montana's BBQ & Bar, Olive Garden, and retailers such as Indigo, PetSmart, and Mastermind Toys.
Charging fees at the new station are cheap, at $0.19/kWh for Tesla owners and $0.25/kWh for non-Tesla EV owners, making it one of the lowest rates among Tesla's Canadian Superchargers.
Tesla is expected to launch V4 cabinets in the U.S. this quarter, which are expected to unlock charging speeds up to 500kW. The company has not yet announced plans to install these high-speed cabinets in Canada.
