Sui Unveils Stablecoin Payments & Messaging SDK for Web3
Sui, a prominent blockchain platform, has revealed two significant developments. Firstly, it has partnered with t'order, a leading table ordering service in South Korea, to introduce next-generation stablecoin payment solutions. Secondly, it has announced the release of the Sui Stack Messaging SDK, currently in alpha, designed to bring secure, programmable messaging to Web3 applications.
The partnership with t'order will see Sui introduce a KRW stablecoin system, replacing traditional card fees with minimal transaction costs. This could save small businesses nearly KRW 150 billion annually. The collaboration aims to transform South Korea's digital payments ecosystem by integrating advanced technologies like QR codes and facial recognition for secure, seamless transactions.
The Sui Stack Messaging SDK, set for full release in the fourth quarter of 2024, introduces advanced capabilities such as end-to-end encrypted conversations, secure groups, verifiable onchain message storage, and event-driven messaging linked to blockchain activities. It integrates seamlessly with the existing Sui Stack, leveraging the Sui blockchain for identity verification, Walrus for decentralized storage, and Seal for secrets management. t'order processes about 350 million USD in monthly transactions, amounting to over 4.3 billion USD annually, providing Sui direct access to one of Korea's largest payment infrastructures.
Sui's initiatives, including the stablecoin payment system and the messaging SDK, reflect its broader vision of embedding blockchain into daily economic and communication activities. By partnering with t'order and releasing the Sui Stack Messaging SDK, Sui continues to expand its influence in the blockchain and fintech spaces.
