Grand Rapids Charity Gala Delivers Exceptional Audio Experience with EAW's ADAPTive System
In the heart of Grand Rapids, MI, a leading Michigan healthcare organization hosted a grand charity gala on August 13, 2025. The event, one of the most ambitious in the region, attracted over 2,000 guests who were treated to an exceptional audio experience, thanks to the collaboration between LiveSpace and Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW).
LiveSpace, a Grand Rapids-based audio, video, and lighting company, took on the challenge of providing clear and consistent sound for the large crowd in the venue's unique circular layout. To meet this challenge, they deployed EAW's advanced ADAPTive audio system.
The system, renowned for its precision and adaptability, ensured that every guest, regardless of their seat, could enjoy the event's sound without interference. To achieve uniform audio coverage and clarity throughout the complex layout, LiveSpace strategically used specific EAW products.
The main system included four arrays of two stacked AC6 ADAPTive Column Loudspeakers and twenty-four Anna 3-way Full-range Adaptive Array Modules as delays. For the high-value seats nearest to the stage, RSX89 2-way Self-powered Loudspeakers served as front fills. To reinforce the bottom end and ensure a consistent full-frequency presentation, four Otto Adaptive Subwoofers were used.
The afterparty, too, benefited from EAW's technology, with the RSX208L 3-way Self-powered Loudspeakers powering the celebrations.
Austin Burkholder, lead audio engineer at LiveSpace, praised EAW's Resolution software for its accuracy and user-friendliness. He also highlighted that EAW's systems are intentional, with their Resolution software and Dante integration enabling accurate models that reflect what happens in the room.
The charity gala organizers were thrilled with the success of the event, attributing a significant part of it to EAW's technology and service. They were particularly pleased with the clarity of every word, note, and moment during the event.
LiveSpace, who has supported this high-profile gala for more than a decade, trusts EAW as one of their go-to partners due to their reliable technology and the people behind it. The audio system at the charity gala provided powerful, clear, and consistent audio across every seat in the venue with no obstructions, feedback, or guesswork. EAW's ADAPTive technology allowed LiveSpace to control SPL and coverage with precision, making the event a resounding success.
In the grand charity gala, various gadgets of technology, including speakers from EAW, contributed to the exceptional audio experience. LiveSpace, a Grand Rapids-based company, strategically used several EAW products, such as the AC6 ADAPTive Column Loudspeakers, Anna 3-way Full-range Adaptive Array Modules, RSX89 2-way Self-powered Loudspeakers, Otto Adaptive Subwoofers, and RSX208L 3-way Self-powered Loudspeakers, to ensure clear and consistent sound throughout the venue's unique layout.
