South Indian Bank Appoints PR Seshadri as New MD & CEO
South Indian Bank (SIB) has appointed PR Seshadri as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2023. Seshadri brings nearly 25 years of banking experience, including roles at Karur Vysya Bank and Citigroup, to the position.
Seshadri succeeds Murali Ramakrishnan, who served from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2023. Thomas Joseph K, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer, welcomed Seshadri's appointment, highlighting his proven track record and visionary approach.
Prior to joining SIB, Seshadri was associated with Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) in a similar role. His leadership has been marked by scaling, optimizing, growing, and transforming businesses, with a focus on digital operational frameworks and innovative solutions. Seshadri is an electrical engineer and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in management from IIM Bangalore.
In his new role, Seshadri is poised to lead SIB into an era of growth and innovation while upholding its rich legacy and core values. He expressed enthusiasm about leading the bank and collaborating with its professionals to build upon its legacy.
