Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the WordPress website and WooCommerce setup, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, perform updates, and manage website security.
- Collaborate with a creative design team for visuals and content, while explaining technical aspects in simple terms.
- Act as a technical advisor for the non-technical team, providing support and advice when WordPress-related questions arise.
- Manage staging environments and push updates to live, ensuring seamless site transitions.
Required Skills
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress and WooCommerce.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Familiarity with hosting platforms such as Hostinger, WP Engine, or Cloudways (preferred but not required).
- Experience with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery (helpful but not required).
Additional Responsibilities
- Set up or configure essential tools/plugins such as SEO, analytics, caching, and payment gateways.
- Monitor, maintain, and update the WordPress website and WooCommerce setup, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
- Work collaboratively and maintain a friendly work environment with marketing, design, and product teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Shopify, particularly Shopify Plus, is a plus for multi-platform e-commerce management.
- Knowledge of database management and SQL.
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Experience with custom API integrations and advanced JavaScript frameworks (Node.js).
- Marketing and sales skills to effectively promote e-commerce offerings and support business growth.
