Shopify's Summer '25 Edition Boosts User Experience with Performance Insights and Streamlined Checkout
Shopify's Summer '25 Edition brings a wave of updates focused on enhancing user experience for both merchants and customers. The latest release introduces granular web performance insights, improved analytics with Google Analytics, and streamlined checkout processes, among other features.
Shopify has rolled out new web performance reports, offering page-level insights to optimize Core Web Vitals. The updated analytics dashboard includes benchmarks and a Customer Cohort Analysis report for data-driven marketing decisions.
The platform now allows refunds to be issued as store credit, usable in the Shop app and during Shop Pay checkout. Merchants can also showcase available store credit in marketing emails or on-site using Liquid.
The new editor boasts a simplified sidebar, custom names for blocks and sections, hover-to-preview, more interactive product cards, and faster copy + paste of entire blocks and sections. Shopify has also sped up the checkout process by nearly 2 seconds, boosting conversion rates.
The admin panel now loads up to 30% faster, with more context-aware loading indicators. The Summer '25 Edition also introduces enhancements like 1-Click Checkout with Shop Pay, Split Cart for POS, and the Pinterest app for product promotion. Single discount codes can now be applied across products, orders, and shipping, with direct promo code entry in the cart for reduced checkout friction.
