In the dynamic world of gaming and esports, Saudi Arabia is making significant strides, and one of the key players in this evolution is Lobah Studio.

Established more than a decade ago, Lobah has a rich history in the industry. Eisa Atawi, a co-founder of the studio, originally founded MAU Games, and later, Lobah was formed by combining a company with 20 years of experience in mobile social gaming across the Middle East with MAU Games.

Lobah's latest venture is Lobah Play, a platform launched in January this year, aimed at providing game developers with a platform to publish, network, and monetize their games. The studio's first release, Habhab, a casual fruit-merge game, is already available on the platform.

In a recent development, Lobah has secured a $12 million investment from the Social Development Bank (SDB), marking a significant step forward for the studio. This funding is part of SDB's expanded support for the gaming and esports sector, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s strong investment and support in this industry.

As for Lobah's future projects, the studio is currently developing new titles. Kingdom of Letters, a trivia game inspired by the 90s TV show حروف, and Jackaroo, a strategy board game involving marbles and cards, are among the upcoming releases.

While there are no specific details about Lobah Studio's future projects related to expanded support for the gaming and esports sector in Saudi Arabia, the environment indicates a favorable context for the studio to grow. However, for precise information about Lobah Studio's funding or upcoming projects, further targeted research or official announcements from the studio or Saudi gaming investment bodies would be required.

As the Esports World Cup 2025 in Riyadh approaches, with its impressive prize pool and high-profile participant teams, the spotlight on Saudi Arabia's gaming and esports sector continues to grow. With Lobah Studio at the forefront, it's an exciting time for the industry in the region.

Technology plays a crucial role in Lobah Studio's latest venture, Lobah Play, as it offers game developers a platform to publish, network, and monetize their games using modern technology. Furthermore, the $12 million investment secured from the Social Development Bank (SDB) will be utilized to strengthen Lobah's technology infrastructure and support its ongoing projects in the dynamic gaming and esports sector.
