Saudi Arabia Launches 'Future Minerals Pioneers' Competition
Saudi Arabia has initiated the 'Future Minerals Pioneers' competition, a global event aimed at stimulating innovation in the mining sector. Supported by key players like Ma'aden and ESNAD, the event aims to establish the Kingdom as a leader in sustainable mining practices.
The competition, launched under Saudi Vision 2030, targets international participants aged 18 and above, encouraging team entries of four to seven members. It focuses on three critical areas: smart technologies, safety and security, and long-term resource sustainability in mining operations and services.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the competition will span three stages. Teams will first compete in a local qualifying round, followed by an international showdown, culminating in a final showcase at the Fifth Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh in January 2026.
The 'Future Minerals Pioneers' competition reflects Saudi Arabia's dedication to transforming its mining sector. By attracting innovative minds from around the globe, the Kingdom aims to create an ecosystem of innovation and global collaboration, ultimately making mining one of its key economic powerhouses.
