Samsung TVs Now Support AirPlay 2: Seamless Content Sharing with Apple Devices
Samsung smart TV users can now enjoy seamless content sharing with Apple devices. The latest update brings AirPlay 2 support, allowing iPhone, iPad, or Mac users to cast their screens directly to their Samsung TVs. This integration is part of a broader expansion of the Apple TV app, which is now accessible on all 2019 Samsung smart TVs and select 2018 models.
This development is just the beginning of a wider rollout. In the fall, LG and Sony smart TV owners will also gain access to AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support, further expanding the compatibility between Apple and these leading TV brands. Additionally, VIZIO, LG, and Sony users can anticipate these features later this year.
The Apple TV app, which offers access to Apple TV+ content, is already available in over 100 countries for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV users running iOS 12.3 and tvOS 12.3. This fall, Mac users will also be able to enjoy the Apple TV app, bringing a consistent viewing experience across all their Apple devices.
The integration of AirPlay 2 and the expansion of the Apple TV app on Samsung smart TVs mark a significant step in enhancing interoperability between Apple and Samsung devices.
