Romanian company Cyber_Folks purchases web hosting provider Hosterion for approximately 6.7 million euros
Cyber_Folks Romania Expands Its Reach with Acquisition of Hosterion
In a move to strengthen its position in the local digital infrastructure, cloud, and scalable web hosting services market, Cyber_Folks Romania, a subsidiary of the international Cyber_Folks group, has acquired Hosterion for EUR 6.7 million.
Founded in 2004, Hosterion serves over 13,000 clients, primarily small to medium-sized businesses and individual website owners seeking reliable web hosting services in Romania and surrounding regions. The acquisition aims to expand Cyber_Folks' operational capacity and consolidate its leadership in the local market.
Cyber_Folks Romania, which employs around 1,000 people, operates in more than six European markets and boasts a client portfolio that includes entertix.ro, atvrom.ro, summerwell.ro, and jamilacuisine.ro. The company runs offices in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, and Bistrița.
The acquisition of Hosterion, which also operates internationally with presence in London, Chicago, and Amsterdam, will enable Cyber_Folks Romania to offer a wider range of services to its clients. These services include NVMe web hosting, virtual and dedicated private servers, domain registration, and disaster recovery solutions.
Adrian Chirută, co-CEO and shareholder of Cyber_Folks Romania, stated that the acquisition is another step in implementing the strategy to build a leading position in the field of e-commerce in Central and Eastern Europe. He expressed optimism about the future, predicting an over 15% increase in revenues in 2025.
In 2024, Cyber_Folks Romania's revenues increased from RON 26.3 million to RON 29.7 million. Meanwhile, Hosterion reports annual revenues of EUR 2.1 million. The companies are supported by two high-performance data centers.
Cyber_Folks serves clients in over 100 countries, making it a significant player in the global digital landscape. The acquisition of Hosterion is expected to further bolster its international presence and solidify its position as a leading provider of digital services.
As both companies continue to grow and evolve, their combined efforts are poised to bring innovative and reliable digital solutions to businesses and individuals across the globe.
