Watch Out! Digital Deceit on the Rise

It seems like scammers are stepping up their game, and they're using some fancy tricks to do it. They're posing as employees from clinics, housing management companies, Rosfinmonitoring, the "Gosuslugi" portal, and even the police, coercing unsuspecting victims into downloading fake apps under various pretexts. Once they've gained control of your gadget, these scoundrels can pilfer your money and private data without a second thought.

Law enforcement, medical professionals, and administrative workers, however, do not send SMS or emails asking for app installation. So, if you ever receive such a request, it's probably a scam.

Banks such as Sberbank are bracing themselves for the future, anticipating that scammers will soon start utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in their devious schemes. Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the bank, states that banks are "not very prepared" for this tech-savvy onslaught. Dmitry Grigorenko, deputy prime minister and head of the government apparatus, has also warned that scammers might start impersonating family members' voices to deceive victims in the near future.

In light of these developments, State Duma deputy Sergei Burlavkov from United Russia recommends that families come up with a password as a safeguard against such digital deception. During any dubious phone call, simply asking for the family password could be enough to ward off potential deceivers.

Stay vigilant, friends. Your wallet and privacy are at stake in this increasingly complex digital world.
