The company aims to revolutionize the field by developing a 3D chip architecture capable of housing a million qubits, a crucial milestone for practical quantum computers. With €20mn in Series A funding, QuantWare is set to challenge industry giants like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, which have recently unveiled their own quantum chips.

QuantWare's innovative approach tackles one of quantum computing's major hurdles: cramming more qubits onto a single chip. The company's 3D architecture replaces traditional edge-based wiring with a 'from above' signal transmission system, allowing for higher qubit densities. This, coupled with their vertical integration and optimization (VIO) technique, integrates bulky components like amplifiers and filters directly onto the quantum processor, further maximizing space.

QuantWare's ambitious goal is to sell this groundbreaking technology to Silicon Valley, with the ultimate aim of achieving a million qubits for economically-relevant calculations.
