QuantumScape & Corning Team Up to Accelerate Solid-State Battery Production

QuantumScape, a leading innovator in next-generation battery technology, has announced a strategic partnership with Corning, a global leader in glass and ceramics manufacturing. The collaboration aims to accelerate the industrialization of QuantumScape's solid-state battery technology in the United States.

Dr. Siva Sivaram, CEO and President of QuantumScape, highlighted Corning's expertise in ceramics manufacturing as a key factor in choosing them as a partner. The collaboration combines QuantumScape's strengths in materials science with Corning's advanced manufacturing capabilities for state-of-the-art battery solutions.

The two companies have agreed to jointly develop ceramic separator manufacturing capabilities for QuantumScape's solid-state batteries. The goal is to achieve high-volume production of these separators, paving the way for commercial applications of QuantumScape's innovative battery technology in the USA. This collaboration is part of QuantumScape's broader strategy to build an ecosystem of partners to rapidly industrialize its next-generation battery solutions for State Farm login and other potential customers.
