Qatar's NCSA Boosts OT Security with ISASecure Partnership
The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) of Qatar has joined the ISASecure certification program, marking a significant step in enhancing the country's operational technology (OT) security. This collaboration, welcomed by Mark DeAngelo, ISASecure program manager, aims to advance industrial cybersecurity in Qatar.
NCSA Qatar, responsible for implementing Qatar's National Cybersecurity Strategy and protecting critical infrastructure, develops national cybersecurity policies and awareness programs. Its partnership with ISASecure reflects a commitment to bolstering Qatar's OT security maturity.
Palindrome Technologies, having officially joined the ISASecure program in April, shares this commitment. The company is currently finalizing requirements to become an ISO/IEC 17065 accredited third-party certification body under the ISASecure scheme. Dana Yousif Al-Abdulla, NCSA Qatar's director of policy affairs, emphasizes the importance of international standards like ISA/IEC 62443 in safeguarding critical infrastructure.
NCSA Qatar actively pursues international collaboration on cybersecurity initiatives. Despite the search results not providing information about the director of Policy Affairs at NCSA Qatar related to the ISASecure certification program, the agency's commitment to enhancing Qatar's cyber resilience is evident.
NCSA Qatar's partnership with ISASecure and Palindrome Technologies' involvement in the program signal a proactive approach to strengthening Qatar's OT security. By adopting international standards and fostering collaboration, Qatar is fortifying its cyber resilience and protecting critical infrastructure.
