Power Plant Project Phase II at Taipower's Substation: Website Update

The Taipower TPC Phase II offshore wind power project, one of the eleven projects selected by the Taiwanese government in April 2018, has reached significant milestones in its construction phase.

Last month, the launching ceremony for the TPC Phase II offshore substation took place at the PetroVietnam Shipyard construction yard in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The offshore substation, a critical component of the project, was built at this facility.

The first structure for the TPC Offshore Phase II was installed in March 2025. However, the exact installation date of the offshore substation at its site in Taiwan remains undisclosed.

Shinfox Far East Energy's SFE Hercules, an affiliate of Foxwell Energy, was involved in the installation of the TPC Phase II offshore substation at its site in Taiwan. Specifically, the topside of the TPC Phase II offshore substation, which was previously in Vietnam, was placed on its jacket foundation by SFE Hercules.

The installation of jacket foundations for the TPC Offshore Phase II is currently underway at a site located approximately 14.7 kilometres west of Lukang in Changhua County, Taiwan.

Foxwell Energy secured the development contract from Taipower to build and operate the wind farm for the TPC Phase II project. Despite this, the company was not mentioned to have secured the development contract for the construction of the TPC Offshore Phase II itself.

It's important to note that as of the information provided, the TPC Offshore Phase II has not been built or transported from Vietnam to Taiwan. The launching ceremony for the offshore substation has also not been mentioned to have taken place.

For the most accurate and up-to-date information on the offshore substation installation date and development contract awards for the Taipower TPC Phase II project, it is recommended to check the official Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) announcements or offshore wind industry reports directly.

The progress in the installation of the TPC Offshore Phase II, a critical component of the Taipower TPC Phase II offshore wind power project, is currently being handled by Shinfox Far East Energy's SFE Hercules, an affiliate of Foxwell Energy, in the energy sector. In the finance sphere, Foxwell Energy secured the development contract from Taipower to build and operate the wind farm for the TPC Phase II project, but not for the construction of the TPC Offshore Phase II itself. The technology sector plays a significant role in the construction and operation of the TPC Offshore Phase II, as advanced equipment and techniques are employed for its installation and operation.
