Porsche Boosts AGV Fleet Efficiency with MHP FleetExecuter

Porsche has adopted a new software solution, MHP FleetExecuter, to manage its fleet of Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) in its plant. Developed by MHP, the software is already in use, controlling 27 AGVs that perform up to 1,600 material transports daily.

The AGVs navigate a 750-meter distance, traversing various systems in the plant. Porsche plans to expand the use of MHP FleetExecuter to ten more projects, including the assembly hall for the Porsche Taycan. The software promises to increase intralogistics efficiency by up to 20% and allows for precise control of an increasing number of AGVs, regardless of their manufacturer, communication interface, or automation degree.

Albrecht Reimold, head of production and logistics at Porsche, praised the software for its ability to improve efficiency and flexibility in internal plant logistics. He also highlighted its contribution to sustainability.

Porsche's implementation of MHP FleetExecuter is set to enhance its AGV fleet management, with potential benefits including increased efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability. The software's centralized control capability, accommodating diverse AGVs, is expected to drive these improvements across multiple projects in the plant.
