PM Modi Inaugurates India's First Automobile In-Plant Railway Siding
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated India's first automobile in-plant railway siding at Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited. The facility, inaugurated via video conferencing, is set to significantly impact logistics and the environment.
Once fully operational, the Gujarat railway siding facility can dispatch a substantial 300,000 cars annually to 15 destinations across India. This will not only boost efficiency but also reduce the carbon footprint in logistics. The in-plant railway siding aims to bring down fossil fuel consumption and reduce road congestion, contributing to a cleaner and safer environment.
The inauguration, conducted virtually, was led by Prime Minister Modi. The project aligns with the government's vision to promote sustainable and efficient transportation solutions.
