Oyster is currently seeking a skilled Payroll Implementation Specialist to join its dynamic team. This remote role, requiring the employee to be based in the +1/+2 UTC timezone, will focus on managing the technical and operational aspects of implementing and migrating payroll systems to support Oyster’s multi-country payroll services.
**Role and Responsibilities:**
As a Payroll Implementation Specialist, you will collaborate with clients to collect and document payroll requirements necessary for smooth migration to Oyster’s payroll platform. You will guide customers through the technical payroll implementation process, serving as the main contact for payroll project queries and updates.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate set up of payroll workflows, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and payments in local currencies as part of Oyster’s global payroll administration. You will work closely with compliance and HR teams to align payroll implementation with local employment laws and tax regulations across over 180 countries.
**Qualifications Needed:**
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and technical implementation skills, including experience in payroll system migration and configuration. Knowledge of global payroll complexities such as multi-currency payments, tax withholding, statutory benefits deductions, and compliance management is essential.
Excellent communication and project management skills are required to serve as a liaison between technical teams, clients, and HR/legal specialists. Experience with software implementation projects is highly desirable, and the ability to coordinate with diverse teams and work with international employment contracts and localized payroll regulations is important.
Familiarity with HR/payroll software platforms would be advantageous, as Oyster’s platform features automated workflows and a self-serve platform for onboarding and payroll management. The specialist role supports Oyster’s mission to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and legally compliant worldwide.
