OpenAI Expands ChatGPT Projects to All Users
OpenAI has expanded access to its ChatGPT Projects feature, now available to all users, free or paid. This move follows a trend of increased premium features for free users.
Previously, ChatGPT Projects was exclusive to paid plans, but now all users can group past chats and add custom instructions. However, the number of uploadable files per project varies by plan.
Free users can upload up to five files, while ChatGPT Plus users can upload up to 25, and Pro users can upload up to 40. This change comes after OpenAI removed a feature that made users' conversations discoverable in search engines due to privacy concerns. The company has been gradually increasing premium features and model access for free users over time.
With this update, all ChatGPT users can now utilise the Projects feature, although the number of uploadable files varies by plan. This move aligns with OpenAI's trend of expanding access to premium features for free users.
