Nissan Rebirths Leaf, Hyper-Raw Leaf, Tough-terrain Rogue, INFINITI FX, QX65
In a bold move to cater to diverse market needs and emission regulations, Nissan and INFINITI have announced an extensive lineup of new and refreshed models, hybrid technologies, and electric vehicles for the upcoming fiscal years 2025 and 2026.
Starting in Europe, the third-generation Nissan Qashqai, equipped with the next-generation e-POWER hybrid system, is set to launch in September 2025. Meanwhile, India is set to see an expansion of Nissan's offerings, with the introduction of a 7-seater B-MPV and two C-segment SUVs in FY25, and an affordable electric SUV by 2026, aligning with India’s transition to cleaner fuels and EV infrastructure.
Nissan's e-POWER hybrid technology, which drives wheels purely electrically while the petrol engine generates electricity without needing plug-in charging, will also be introduced in the all-new Nissan LEAF, reimagined as a family-friendly crossover with improvements in aerodynamics and EV architecture.
The e-POWER system has undergone significant improvements, including a fuel efficiency of 4.5L/100km (WLTP), enabling a potential 1200 km range per fuel tank, a 12% reduction in CO₂ emissions, enhanced cabin noise reduction, increased power output, and improved battery capacity for regenerative braking and acceleration.
In addition to the hybrid expansions, Nissan announced plans for an affordable electric SUV targeted for the Indian market by 2026. Nissan is also showcasing various next-generation electrified models globally, although specific model launches beyond those mentioned remain to be fully detailed.
Nissan's strategy also includes the continued refinement of combustion-related technology integrated with electrification, as demonstrated by the e-POWER system, which integrates an internal combustion engine primarily as a generator, significantly enhancing efficiency and reducing emissions.
The lineup also includes the all-new Nissan LEAF, the Frontier/Navara midsize pick-up truck, the Ariya all-electric crossover, the all-new Patrol, an all-new one-ton pickup, the all-new third-generation LEAF EV, and the Qashqai crossover with the new third-generation e-POWER technology.
INFINITI is also joining the electric revolution with the launch of the all-new, mid-size QX65 crossover coupe in FY25, channeling inspiration from the pioneering INFINITI FX. A luxury INFINITI EV SUV inspired by the Vision QXe concept is also planned for production in FY28.
Moreover, INFINITI will launch the all-new QX65 crossover coupe, and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is showcasing new and refreshed models, including hybrid technologies, next-generation electric vehicles, and advanced internal combustion engines.
An all-new Nissan EV is scheduled to commence production in the U.S. from late FY27, an adventure-focused SUV. The Z NISMO will also expand the Z range in the Middle East, delivering an exhilarating, track-ready sports car experience.
This multifaceted strategy by Nissan and INFINITI reflects their commitment to meeting diverse market needs and emission regulations, combining hybrid innovation, electric vehicle expansion, and continued refinement of combustion-related technology integrated with electrification.
