In the world of electric vehicles, NIO is making waves with its latest offering, the Onvo L90. This full-size, three-row electric SUV is set to make its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in Q3 2025.

The L90 boasts a sleek and bold design, measuring 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,786 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. Frameless doors, hidden handles, and a drag coefficient of 2.35 contribute to its aerodynamic prowess.

Under the hood, the L90 offers two powertrain options: a single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version with 340 kW (456 hp) and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant with 440 kW (598 hp).

Equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack, the RWD model achieves up to 605 km of range, while the AWD version offers approximately 570 km under CLTC conditions. The L90 supports ultra-fast 900V charging, allowing for a 400 km charge in just 10 minutes. It is also compatible with NIO's battery swap technology.

Inside, the L90 features a 17.2-inch touchscreen, a 13-inch head-up display, rear-seat screens, premium materials, and advanced ADAS features like Level 2+ autonomous driving capabilities. The SUV can accommodate six or seven passengers and features a large 240-liter front trunk ("frunk").

As of the latest information, specific pricing details for the Onvo L90 have not been publicly disclosed. However, it is expected to be much more expensive than the L60 due to its larger size and space. The L60, with a starting price of RMB 206,900 ($28,870) including a 60-kWh standard-range battery pack, serves as a point of reference.

The L90 made its official debut on April 23, 2025, and display vehicles will be available in all stores on July 10, with pre-sales beginning on the same date. Notably, the L90 will come standard with an 85-kWh long-range battery pack.

The L90 also offers single-motor and dual-motor options, similar to the L60, and features an entertainment screen on the roof, similar to many domestic models. The second row of the L90 has zero-gravity seats, while the front row adopts a setup similar to Nio's latest models.

In addition to the L90, Onvo will launch the L80 five-seat SUV in the fourth quarter. Onvo's May deliveries have increased by at least 40%, despite a 40% reduction in sales staff, according to company reports. Shen Fei, the president of Onvo, took over from Alan Ai in April.

As the electric vehicle market continues to grow, the Onvo L90 is poised to make a significant impact, offering a blend of style, performance, and technology in a full-size package. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach its launch in Q3 2025.
