Nintendo delivers another showcase a week after its initial presentation

On August 7, 2025, Nintendo will broadcast an Indie World presentation dedicated to games developed by independent studios. The video showcase, available on the official Nintendo channel on YouTube, will last approximately 15 minutes and will focus on independent games set to launch on Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2 within the coming months to year.

The presentation will feature reveals and new information about several exciting indie titles. Among them is the highly anticipated action-adventure game, 'Mina The Hollower', which will be released on October 31, 2025. Players will take on the role of Mina, exploring a cursed island and battling monsters with a whip and an arsenal of other weapons.

Another intriguing title revealed is 'Well Dweller', a game featuring a creepy art style and starring a crow. This game is scheduled for release next year. 'Neverway', a nightmarish life-simulator RPG, will also be making its way to Nintendo Switch platforms in 2026. The game follows Fiona, who becomes an immortal herald after starting a farm life.

Additional indie titles revealed during the presentation include 'Herdling', but the release date is yet to be specified. Other games shown briefly include 'Is This Seat Taken?', 'Little Kitty, Big City – The Picture Purrfect Update', 'Content Warning', 'BALL X PIT', 'Ultimate Sheep Raccoon', 'Glaciered', 'Winter Burrow', 'Undusted: Letters from the Past', 'Tiny Bookshop', 'Caves of Qud', 'Strange Antiquities', 'OPUS: Prism Peak', 'Go-Go Town!', and 'UFO 50'.

Notably, 'UFO 50', previously available on PC, will now be available on Switch. This addition was a notable final highlight of the presentation.

The Indie World presentation primarily targets fans of smaller and quirkier indie games rather than big commercial releases. While the presentation did not provide any new information about the Nintendo Switch 2, it comes after a Nintendo Direct focused on games developed by external studios, and the success of 'Mario Kart World' which sold almost as many copies as the Nintendo Switch 2 since its launch on June 5.

The presentation may also reveal the release dates for 'Hollow Knight: Silksong' from Team Cherry and 'Hades II' from Supergiant Games, both of which have confirmed releases in the year 2025. It's also worth mentioning that the sequel to the game 'Katamari' was announced, but it is not related to the Nintendo Indie World presentation.

Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting indie titles coming to Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2!
