Nike Unveils NikeSkims Collection with Kim Kardashian's Skims to Boost Sales
Sportswear giant Nike has unveiled its latest collection, NikeSkims, a collaboration with Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand Skims. The full-year sales for Nike had previously dropped by 10% in June, but the company is now focusing on this new athleisure line to boost its turnaround efforts.
NikeSkims, which debuts on Friday, takes a holistic approach to women's activewear. The collection, co-founded by Kim Kardashian, offers skin-tight sets designed to enhance both physical performance and style. It features seven collections and 58 styles, providing over 10,000 possible combinations.
The debut film for NikeSkims will showcase over 50 athletes, including Jordan Chiles, Sha'Carri Richardson, and Serena Williams. The collection will be available through Nike and Skims' websites, as well as select retail stores. At launch, it will include four seasonal collections and three core collections: Matte, Shine, and Airy.
NikeSkims is set to launch at a crucial time for Nike, as the company works to revitalise its sales and turnaround key initiatives. With its focus on style, function, and comfort, NikeSkims aims to redefine women's activewear and attract a more athleisure-focused customer.
