Newslights on Pro Audio-Visual: Election of NSCA's New Leadership, AVI-SPL, IVCi, and other key players in the AV industry.
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and its Education Foundation have announced new leadership for the 2024-2025 term.
In a significant change, Dale Bottcher has been appointed as the new president of the NSCA Board of Directors, while Ingolf de Jong will continue his role as VP of the NSCA Education Foundation. Shedan Maghzi will take over as NSCA treasurer, and Don Mastro will become the treasurer of the NSCA Education Foundation.
The NSCA Education Foundation also welcomes new board members Tina Peters and Mike Boettcher. Lauren Simmen has been appointed as the new president, and Dawna Payne will serve as the secretary. Gina Sansivero and Steve Greenblatt will continue as board members.
In other news, the NSCA has announced a partnership with AVI-SPL, a leading provider of audiovisual, digital signage, and collaboration technology. AVI-SPL will provide engineering expertise in support of ongoing operations and live events. This partnership comes as AVI-SPL has also been selected as a subcontractor by General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) for the $922 million USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) modernization contract.
Meanwhile, Four Star Wire & Cable has opened a new facility in the Nashville area, boosting its production capabilities and enabling enhanced efficiency and shorter lead times. This new facility further solidifies the 25-year partnership between Four Star Wire and the Neutrik Group. The new facility aims to create more job opportunities in the Nashville area, driving economic growth and supporting the local community.
Elsewhere, RCD Espanyol has named MAXHUB as its exclusive supplier of interactive flat screens. MAXHUB will equip RCD Espanyol's facilities with its innovative interactive flat panel displays, enhancing the club's training and education capabilities.
In a notable achievement, Dawn Cagliano became the first female president of IVCi, demonstrating a significant step towards gender equality in leadership roles within the industry.
