New packaging innovations in Thailand pushing for a greener future in farming sector
Syngenta Launches Thailand's First Biological Products Packaging Line
Syngenta, a global leader in agricultural innovation, has made a strategic investment by launching Thailand's first "biological products" packaging line at its Bangpoo Crop Protection Plant in Samut Prakan. This move reinforces Syngenta's commitment to advancing environmentally responsible farming practices.
The new facility, a long-term investment in the future of Thai agriculture, is designed to deliver reliable performance for modern farmers who prioritize safe and environmentally sustainable crops. Every bottle produced from the new line is aimed at improving soil health, enhancing crop performance, and delivering high-quality, sustainable yields.
Advanced technology at the Bangpoo plant was transferred from Valagro, a leader in biological innovation. The new packaging line can produce a range of liquid biological products, including plant performance enhancers and nutritional solutions.
The Bangpoo plant's maximum daily production capacity is 10,500 litres, or over 2.5 million litres annually. Domestic production at the Bangpoo plant will improve quality control and market responsiveness.
Kluaymai Nuchniyom, Managing Director of Syngenta Crop Protection Co., Ltd., stated that the investment reflects Syngenta's confidence in Thailand's potential and its commitment to applying advanced global production technologies. The new facility holds multiple international accreditations, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Syngenta aims to solidify Thailand's role as a fully integrated "Biological Products Hub." This move positions Thailand as a key regional hub for the production and distribution of sustainable agricultural solutions across Asia. The company's goal is to produce 80 tons of biological products in 2025 and expand to 200 tons in 2026.
The new facility stands as a symbol of Syngenta's mission to foster sustainable development and advance Thai agriculture towards a more secure and resilient future. Syngenta's investment in this facility reinforces its role as a global leader in agricultural innovation and its dedication to environmentally responsible farming practices.
