Two national leading companies, iFlytek and Neusoft, are the Chinese government's anticipated frontrunners in the BCI industry by 2030. The government's active coordination among scientific institutions, companies, and regulators is seen as a catalyst for these companies' growth.

The standard is being compared to initiatives like Neuralink, a US-based company focused on developing BCI technology. The standard's implementation may intensify the competition between China and the United States in the global BCI technology market. However, the standard's potential global implications for patients with paralysis are promising.

In Chinese experiments, patients with paralysis have successfully controlled computers and played complex video games using BCI technology. These advancements suggest the technology's potential for improving the lives of people with disabilities.
