Mobile crushing and screening units powered entirely by electricity unveiled by Athos Crushing & Screening

Athos Crushing & Screening, a sister company to Pilot Crushtec International, has officially launched a new range of mobile crushers and screens called Powertrack. This innovative range, built by SRHeavy, is set to revolutionise the mobile crushing and screening industry with its fully electric machines.

The Powertrack range includes a mobile jaw crusher, a mobile cone crusher, a mobile triple-deck screen, and a mobile scalping screen. The electrically powered mobile crushing and screening units are designed for high efficiency with reduced environmental impact due to electric drive systems. They are versatile for different crushing and screening tasks, compact, and mobile for easy transportation and operation on site.

One of the standout features of the Powertrack range is its lower cost of operation compared to diesel hydraulic counterparts. The fully electric crushing and screening solutions in the Powertrack range, known as the e-Power range, are primarily intended to be plugged into grid electricity. However, in the absence of an electric plug-in, the machines can be powered by a separate generator, eliminating/reducing dust ingression into the engine.

The Powertrack PT Pro J-11E, a mobile jaw crusher, can handle a top size up to 600 mm and typically runs with a closed side setting of about 70 mm. It is equipped with an SJC108 jaw crusher with a 1060 x 700 mm feed opening and has the capacity to process between 150 and 500 tonnes per hour (tph), depending on application.

The Powertrack PT Pro SP-08E, a mobile scalping screen, is designed to process capacities up to 500 tph. On the other hand, the Powertrack PT Pro ST-08E mobile triple-deck screen has a screen box of 5,4 m x 1,5 m and a screening area of 8,4 m2.

The local mobile crushing and screening market is introduced to a new concept with the separation of the generator from where crushing takes place in the Powertrack range. This design change is expected to bring significant improvements in efficiency and safety.

The Powertrack e-Power range of mobile crushers and screens is an attractive crushing and screening solution for cost-sensitive, entry-level operations. The range is aimed at operators looking to combine mobility, environmental consideration, operational efficiency, and versatility in material processing.

Target markets for the Powertrack range include contractors, quarries, and certain mining applications, particularly sites where there is access to grid power or renewable energy sources. The range is also suitable for construction and demolition recycling, quarrying and mining operations requiring on-site crushing, infrastructure and road building projects, and contractors seeking lower emissions and noise levels for urban jobsites.

For detailed, authoritative specifications and market focus, contacting Athos Crushing & Screening directly or consulting their official product literature is recommended, as no sourced search data was found in the current context. The Powertrack range is being debuted in southern Africa at a launch event held at the company's Jet Park in July.

The Powertrack e-Power range, a game-changing innovation in the mobile crushing and screening industry, consists of energy-efficient machines such as the mobile jaw crusher and the mobile scalping screen. These machines, designed for high efficiency and reduced environmental impact, are envisioned to deliver significant improvements in operation costs, a key selling point for cost-sensitive, entry-level operations.

This new range of mobile crushers and screens, unveiled by Athos Crushing & Screening, is also attractive for operators in various sectors, including contractors, quarries, mining applications, construction and demolition recycling, and infrastructure projects, especially those with access to grid power or renewable energy sources.
