Meta's Quest 3 Leads VR Race, AMD Challenges Intel's CPU Dominance

The gaming landscape is shifting as Meta's Quest 3 VR headset gains traction, while AMD is nipping at Intel's heels in the CPU market, and Nvidia maintains its GPU dominance in the stock market today.

Meta's Quest 3 has emerged as the top VR headset compatible with Steam, hot on the heels of Valve's own offering. Meanwhile, AMD is poised to become the leading CPU among gamers within the next year, potentially surpassing Intel for the first time since the Steam Hardware Survey began. Intel's market share has been steadily declining, reaching an all-time low of 57.68% in September 2025, while AMD's share has increased by 2% since June 2025, continuing a trend from the past year.

Nvidia continues to reign supreme in the GPU market, with a dominant share of around 74% among Steam users. The RTX 4060 Laptop GPU is currently the most popular GPU among gamers on the platform.
