Mercedes' AMG One Hypercar: Exclusive, High-Performance, Modest Electric Range
Mercedes' AMG One hypercar has made headlines with its impressive performance and exclusivity. The £2.4 million vehicle, with only 275 units produced, boasts a modest electric range and a fuel tank capacity of just 55 litres.
The AMG One's CO2 emissions, at 198g/km, are lower than those of a BMW M3, according to official tests. Despite its high performance, the hypercar offers an official economy of 32mpg and a modest electric range of 11 miles.
Mercedes has no plans to expand the AMG One range with a roadster or 'Black Series' version. The engine's life depends on usage; frequent track day enthusiasts may need a rebuild earlier. The cost of an engine overhaul after 50,000 km or 31,000 miles is not yet known. However, an engine rebuild is estimated to cost around €850,000.
The AMG One, with its limited production run and high price tag, is a symbol of exclusivity and high-performance engineering. Its unique features, such as the modest electric range and low fuel tank capacity, add to its allure. Despite the high cost of ownership, the AMG One remains a highly sought-after vehicle.
