LG Unveils World's First 6K Monitor with Thunderbolt 5
LG Electronics has unveiled the world's first 6K monitor with Thunderbolt 5 support, the UltraFine evo 6K (model 32U990A). This cutting-edge display is set to revolutionise the way professional creative cast of thunderbolts work, offering unparalleled resolution and data transfer speeds.
The LG UltraFine evo 6K boasts a stunning 32-inch 6K HiDPI panel, providing 2.56 times more pixels than a standard 4K UHD display. This ultra-high resolution ensures exceptional text clarity and detail precision, perfect for editing and design tasks. The monitor covers 98% DCI-P3 and 99.5% Adobe RGB, delivering vibrant colours and rich contrast, certified by VESA DisplayHDR 600.
Thunderbolt 5 support is a game-changer for this monitor. It delivers up to 120Gbps unidirectional bandwidth, tripling the data transfer speeds of Thunderbolt 4. This not only enhances data throughput but also simplifies daisy-chain setups, allowing professionals to connect multiple devices seamlessly.
The LG UltraFine evo 6K is designed with professional creative cast of thunderbolts in mind, offering a premium display experience for demanding workflows. It will be available in South Korea and Japan in late September, with a wider global rollout including the US and Europe in October. Pricing starts at 2000 euros in Germany, with Indian availability yet to be revealed.
