Lenovo Introduces Innovative Rollable OLED Screen Laptop: A Closer Look at the Unique ThinkBook Plus - Identifying the Market for Such a Strange Device.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Rollable (Gen 6) has made a significant impact in the AI laptop market, setting itself apart with its unique rollable OLED display. This innovative device, unveiled at CES 2025, currently leads the rollable screen laptop space with no direct competitors offering a similar form factor.

While Asus, Samsung, and HP have ventured into foldable or dual-screen laptops, none can match the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6's motorized vertical rollable OLED display. Asus' Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, for instance, folds horizontally, while Samsung and HP focus on foldable dual-display laptops without vertical expansion.

Beyond rollable displays, other premium AI laptops with OLED displays and strong productivity features include the Lenovo Yoga 9i 14 (Gen 10). This 2-in-1 laptop boasts a high-resolution 2.8K 120 Hz OLED display, praised for its portability and build quality. Acer, Dell, and HP also offer ultrabooks with OLEDs, but none feature the vertical expansion rollable display of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6.

The ThinkBook Plus Rollable (Gen 6) stands out with its rolling OLED screen that can change sizes with the press of a button. The expanded screen offers a resolution of 2000x2350 and an 8:9 aspect ratio, and the screen size ranges from 14 inches to 16.7 inches. The device is equipped with Intel's Core Ultra 7 258V CPU, 32GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, and a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Rollable (Gen 6) comes with a battery capacity of 66Wh and a 65W USB-C charger. It features Dolby Vision, a 120Hz variable refresh rate, perfect DCI-P3 color reproduction, and 400 nits brightness. The device also includes a fingerprint reader built into the power button and is priced starting at $3,299.

However, the ThinkBook Plus Rollable (Gen 6) is not without its drawbacks. When unrolled to its full height, reflection marks caused by crimps in the display may be noticeable. Nonetheless, Lenovo's ThinkBook Plus Rollable (Gen 6) remains the world's first AI laptop and a groundbreaking device in the rollable OLED laptop market.

The ThinkBook Plus Rollable (Gen 6) is now available for purchase at Lenovo USA, offering a unique and innovative computing experience for those seeking a premium AI laptop with a rollable OLED display.
