While many enthusiasts joyfully unveiled their AI-inspired Studio Ghibli renditions on social media, there was a portion of criticizers who found these digital reconstructions bewildering, playing an affront to the genius craftsmanship of Hayao Miyazaki, the co-creator and visionary animator of the Studio Ghibli.

These detractors also circulated a video snippet from Miyazaki's historic interview where he expounded on his objections towards AI-generated artistry. "It's nothing but revolting. If you truly desire to create eerie artifacts, go ahead and give it a shot. I would never be compelled to integrate this technology into my body of work. I feel it demeans the essence of life itself," Miyazaki avowed in a candid statement.

Recently, some notable Bollywood production houses, such as Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, and Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, also plunged into the trend by showcasing posters and snippets from their films in a Ghibli-esque style.
