Kyocera Document Solutions UK has broadened its partnership with Westcoast, transforming the distributor from a supplier of spare parts, toner, and consumables to a full-service, one-stop distributor for Kyocera’s entire ECOSYS A4 printing device range. This new agreement means Westcoast now handles not only hardware but also consumables and fulfilment services for Kyocera, greatly increasing Westcoast’s ability to offer resellers a comprehensive portfolio of Kyocera printers alongside a seamless order-to-install process.

The expanded partnership impacts both companies’ offerings and operations. Kyocera benefits from increased channel visibility, as it complements its existing distribution network through Westcoast’s broad sales and fulfilment capabilities. Westcoast, on the other hand, enhances its product range and service offerings, fostering easier sales for its teams who can now provide a wider choice of Kyocera printers and coordinated after-sales customer care.

The companies will integrate operationally, with Kyocera account managers working alongside Westcoast channel managers to develop new business and ensure smooth customer experiences. Ryan Mitchell, print director at Westcoast, commented that this partnership represents a significant step forward for both parties. Martin Fairman, Kyocera’s group sales and marketing director, described the move as a "major development" in the companies’ ongoing relationship.

This is not the first time Westcoast has partnered with Kyocera, as they have previously partnered on supplies. The expanded partnership to hardware makes perfect sense, according to Mitchell. The new agreement aims to drive further growth for both companies, with Westcoast’s Nottingham print team having the infrastructure and expertise to meet demand for Kyocera’s ECOSYS range.

The after-sales customer care process for Kyocera’s ECOSYS A4 printing devices will be coordinated for a more streamlined process by both parties. The partnership between Kyocera and Westcoast is focused on a holistic approach, where Westcoast can offer Kyocera’s full portfolio of print products and services to their customers and partners.

By combining Kyocera's product range with Westcoast's distribution capabilities, both partners and end customers will benefit from greater value and enhanced service. The expanded partnership is expected to provide enhanced service to both partners and end customers.

  1. As Kyocera's offering expands beyond hardware to encompass data-and-cloud-computing solutions through their partnership with Westcoast, the companies aim to offer a holistic approach, providing end customers with increased value and seamless service.
  2. In this strategic partnership, Westcoast's infrastructure, combined with Kyocera's technology, will drive growth for both parties, ensuring a comprehensive offering that encompasses hardware, software, and after-sales support for Kyocera's entire ECOSYS printing device range.
