Chang Robotics Revolutionizes Supply Chain and Healthcare with Innovative Robotics

Chang Robotics, a DBE-certified robotics firm specializing in advanced manufacturing, collaborative robotics, and automation, is making waves in the industry. The company, known for its human-focused approach to robotics, is enhancing workforce productivity in supply chain automation and addressing a pressing issue in healthcare: nurse burnout and turnover.

Under the leadership of Kate McAfoose, President of Chang Robotics and Co-founder of Curabotics, the company has spearheaded a healthcare and robotics initiative that is expanding nationwide. McAfoose's vision led to the creation of Curabotics, a new company dedicated to advancing robotics and automation in healthcare.

One of the flagship innovations from Curabotics is the nurse assist-bot, a collaborative robot designed to deliver supplies to nurses within 90 seconds when called via a mobile interface. This innovation reduces repetitive tasks, allowing nursing staff to focus more on patient care.

The impact of Chang Robotics' work has not gone unnoticed. The company has been recognised as one of Fast Company's 2024 Best Workplaces for Innovators and Inc. Magazine's 2024 Best in Business.

In addition, Kate McAfoose has been nominated as a finalist for the Stevie Awards for Women in Business in two categories: Most Innovative Woman of the Year - Technology and Achievement in Technology Innovation. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honour the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the organizations they run worldwide.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business finalists were determined by the average scores of 190 business professionals worldwide. The winners in all categories will be announced on November 10, 2025, at an awards ceremony in New York City.
