Kamchatka's 'Christmas Trees in Action!' Recycles 45 Trees for Animal Bedding
In Kamchatka, an ecological initiative called 'Christmas Trees in Action!' has successfully collected and recycled 45 Christmas trees, with 20 donated by residents of Vilyuchinsk. The processed wood chips will be used as animal bedding by the KROO 'Society for the Assistance of Animals 'Good Heart'.
The recycling process, carried out by specialists from AO 'Special Transport', took only a few minutes per tree. Nails were removed, and the trees were disassembled into parts before being fed into a mulcher (shredder). This machine transformed the trees into finely chopped wood chips, ready for their new purpose.
The society 'Good Heart' will now utilise these wood chips as comfortable and eco-friendly bedding for the animals under their care. This not only provides a practical use for waste material but also supports local environmental sustainability.
The 'Christmas Trees in Action!' campaign in Kamchatka has proven successful in recycling waste and benefiting local animal welfare. The involvement of AO 'Special Transport' and 'Good Heart' society has demonstrated a collaborative approach to environmental responsibility.
