John Hendrix Named Alaska's Outstanding Alaskan of the Year for Energy Sector Impact
The Alaska Chamber has announced this year's William A. Egan Outstanding Alaskan of the Year. The recipient, John Hendrix, will be honoured at the upcoming Summit on October 9 at Alyeska Resort.
John Hendrix, a veteran of Alaska's energy sector, has been recognised for his entrepreneurial spirit and decades of contributions. The Alaska Chamber's Executive Committee selected Hendrix for the prestigious award.
Hendrix's career spans leadership roles at Apache Alaska, BP, Schlumberger, and NANA. He also served as an oil and gas advisor to the governor's office. Most recently, Hendrix founded HEX, which acquired Furie Operating Alaska. This move enabled the production of natural gas from offshore platforms in Cook Inlet.
The Alaska Chamber's Executive Committee chooses the Premier Business Awards winners from industry leaders across the state. This year, they honoured Hendrix for his significant impact on Alaska's energy sector and his entrepreneurial drive.
