In an exciting turn of events, Self-Portrait's Fall/Winter 2025 campaign takes a leap into the future, showcasing a unique blend of human and digital elements. The campaign, marking Jisoo's fourth collaboration with the brand, is a progression from the previous seasons, according to designer Han Chong and his team.

The campaign features a collection of grounded yet playful clothes, including a white lace mini, a gray wool playsuit, knit leggings, a black bouclé jacket, and micro and mini bags. The inclusion of micro and mini bags adds a touch of playfulness to the proportions.

The white lace mini moves easily, the gray wool playsuit has a uniform edge, the knit leggings are cinched with a belt, and the black bouclé jacket has structure. These pieces, combined with the futuristic cityscape, create a striking visual contrast.

The AI-built cityscape, a first for Self-Portrait, was created using a combination of AI generative image-making and green screen technology. The model, Jisoo, was filmed against a green screen, and then the cityscapes were digitally constructed and integrated around her in post-production.

The photography by Drew Vickers then combined with these AI-created backgrounds to produce the final polished images that juxtapose human presence with algorithmically generated digital settings. This approach allowed the brand to push its creative narrative into a futuristic, digitally imagined dimension.

Han Chong, the founder and creative director of Self-Portrait, found working with Jisoo straightforward and appreciated her natural presence. Jisoo, on the other hand, enjoyed the experimental nature of the AI-built cityscape and found the final result unique.

Jisoo believes that the Fall/Winter 2025 campaign represents a significant departure from Pre-Fall. The campaign moves away from the sixties cues of Pre-Fall, offering a fresh and innovative take on fashion.

The team used generative tools to create towering skylines, rapid transit lines, and glowing streets for the AI-built cityscape. The setting is an AI-built cityscape, created after the shoot, that feels just ahead of the current time.
