ITW GSE Lands €40M Deal with Royal Schiphol Group for Electric PCA Units
ITW GSE has signed a substantial long-term agreement with Royal Schiphol Group. Valued at up to 40 million EUR over 25 years, the deal involves the provision of fully electric Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) units and an automated hose management system. This partnership aims to boost the efficiency and sustainability of aircraft ground handling at Schiphol Airport.
ITW GSE will supply its advanced 3500 PCA and 3500 Air Coil units. The 3500 Air Coil comes equipped with innovative AirTight and KinkFree SuperHoses, ensuring optimal performance and durability. The 3500 PCA features Automated Aircraft Type Detection, enabling seamless integration with various aircraft, and can be linked with EcoGate for enhanced efficiency.
The modular technology ensures optimal heating and cooling of aircraft cabins and can be configured for diverse installations. This flexibility caters to the wide range of aircraft using Schiphol Airport. Start-up and commissioning will be supported locally by ITW GSE's Dutch distributor, Aviation GSE.
ITW GSE will act as the General Contractor for supply, with installation and on-site integration managed by a Schiphol Group-nominated contractor. This collaboration is poised to enhance the sustainability and efficiency of ground handling services at Schiphol Airport, one of Europe's busiest aviation hubs.
