The TUMO Center for Creative Technologies, situated at the Innovative Technology Park AKF, has announced ambitious plans to expand its reach across Kazakhstan over the next 3-5 years. The expansion includes the launch of a new TUMO center in a key city and the deployment of TUMO Boxes in remote areas, as part of a global rollout of nine new centers in countries such as Argentina, the United States, the Netherlands, Georgia, and Portugal.

The TUMO Center's expansion aims to broaden access to creative technology education and innovation worldwide, and in Kazakhstan, it aligns with the country's digital transformation and AI ecosystem development strategies. The TUMO Boxes, compact, standalone hubs equipped with digital learning tools, will enable youth in less accessible regions to participate in creative technology programs and acquire skills remotely, thereby extending TUMO's reach beyond urban centers.

Valeria T., the managing director of the Innovative Technology Park AKF, revealed the plans at a press conference held at the SCK. The TUMO Center offers a free supplementary learning program for students aged 12 to 18, with 11 main areas of study including generative AI, programming, animation, digital music, robotics, and more.

To apply for the program at the TUMO Center, one only needs to apply. No entry requirements, other than age, will apply for students accessing the TUMO Center through TUMO boxes in remote areas. The TUMO Center's expansion plans were reported by Vechernyaya Astana.

The installation of TUMO boxes aims to ensure that every student in Kazakhstan has access to the TUMO educational platform. While details about the precise locations or number of TUMO boxes are not explicitly listed, the expansion includes embedding TUMO's educational approach in both central urban hubs and remote areas. This will help democratize access to creative technology education and training across Kazakhstan.

The TUMO Center's expansion is part of TUMO’s strategy to broaden access to creative technology education and innovation worldwide. By bringing the TUMO Center's educational programs to remote areas, the organization hopes to empower young people in Kazakhstan with the skills they need to thrive in the digital age.

  1. The TUMO Center's expansion, which includes the deployment of TUMO Boxes in remote regions, is a part of its strategy to broaden access to technology education and innovation, particularly in learning areas such as generative AI, programming, animation, digital music, and robotics.
  2. With the installation of TUMO Boxes in less accessible areas, students across Kazakhstan will have the opportunity to partake in technology programs and acquire skills in fields like creative technology, regardless of their location, thereby democratizing access to such education and self-development opportunities.
