The Wuling Nano EV, a compact and budget-friendly electric vehicle, is making waves in the automotive industry with its urban-friendly size, practical design, and essential electric drivetrain features. This electric city car is perfect for navigating congested streets and offers a range suitable for short city commutes.

Key Features and Specifications

The Wuling Nano EV boasts an electric motor typically delivering a 20 kW power output, paired with a lithium-ion battery. This setup provides adequate power for urban driving, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride. The vehicle's battery range is approximately 120 to 130 km on a single charge, making it ideal for city commutes.

The Nano EV's size and design are optimised for tight urban spaces, featuring a 5-door layout with a minimal footprint. A retro-modern aesthetic, similar to that of other Wuling models, emphasises utility and simplicity.

Safety is a priority, with the Nano EV equipped with basic safety features such as electronic stability control, drum brakes at the rear, a driver's airbag, and a passenger's child protection lock. Advanced safety systems may be limited given the budget-oriented segment, but improved stability control has been introduced since 2023 in related models.

Select Wuling models offer Lingxi Internet connectivity, enabling smartphone integration and remote monitoring or control functions. However, the availability of this feature for the Nano EV may vary by market and trim grade.

Additional Information

The Nano EV's top speed typically ranges around 100 km/h, suitable for city use. The vehicle comes with practical features like a sunken trunk for better space utilisation and choices of paint colours with optional two-tone roofs.

The Nano EV emphasises affordability and efficiency for city dwellers, often marketed in emerging markets prioritising cost and electric mobility. It is based on the Baojun E200 and shares a similar appearance.

The Nano EV will jointly cooperate with Disney's "crazy animal city" IP for a limited edition. It is set to launch on September 29 at the Tianjin Auto Show.

Charging the Nano EV can be done with a household 220V three-plug power supply, and it can also be equipped with a 6.6kW high-power charger, reducing charging time to 4.5 hours. The power battery of the Nano EV has functions of active safety protection, insulation fault alarm, and short-circuit protection.

The car's body is made of more than 40% ultra-high-strength and high-strength steel, and eight parts of the car body steel structure use high-strength hot-formed steel of more than 1500 MPa. The power battery of the Nano EV is dustproof and waterproof up to IP67.

The Nano EV adopts an integrated design of the new luminous Wuling logo and headlights, with two colours: Judy powder and Nick green. The power battery of the Nano EV is equipped with low-temperature preheating technology and battery insulation function.

In conclusion, the Wuling Nano EV offers a range of 120–130 km in electric mode, a compact urban-oriented design, stable safety basics, and connectivity options all packaged in an affordable electric city car.
