Introducing the Google Pixel 10 series, the latest iteration of intelligent smartphones from Google
In a grand event on August 20, 2025, Google announced its latest innovation - the Pixel 10 family, marking the tenth iteration of their flagship phone. The lineup includes the standard Pixel 10, the Pixel 10 Pro, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The star of the show, the Pixel Watch 4, was also revealed with a new design direction in its OS. Google's trusted partner, the manufacturer behind the Pixel Watch 4, is none other than Google itself.
The Pixel 10 family continues to make incremental improvements to cameras and screens. The standard Pixel 10 now comes with an additional camera, a 10.8MP Telephoto lens, and a 20x zoom. The flagship devices, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, represent the peak of Google's hardware and software design.
Google introduces Material 3 Expressive, a new look and feel for Android, with increased personalization and redesigns for key apps. This redesign is also evident in the Pixel Watch 4's OS.
The Pro models of the Pixel 10 family support magnetic wireless charging, similar to the iPhone, with the new Qi 25W standard. This charging system for the Pro models is called Pixelsnap and includes a suite of accessories.
One of the most exciting features of the new Pixels is the integration of Gemini AI. This artificial intelligence offers photography coaching, AI-tidied digital zoom, and Magic Cue, an intelligent agent.
Google has promised to support the new handset, Pixel 10, as well as previous models like Pixel 7 and Pixel 8, for seven years with OS and security updates. This promise suggests that Google aims to make the device last longer than the average phone contract.
A new addition to the Pixel family is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, a folding screen model, similar to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The external screen of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is 6.4" and the internal screen is 8". The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is 10.1mm deep, slightly thicker than the single screen models.
Lastly, a new Pixel Journal app adds interactivity to personal activities, further enhancing the user experience.
