Introducing the Anticipated BMW Speedtop Design
In a grand unveiling at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2025, the BMW Group debuted the hotly anticipated BMW Concept Speedtop. This unique sport-touring model, available in a limited edition of just 70 units worldwide, promises to redefine luxury touring for the future.
The BMW Concept Speedtop is more than just a concept car; it's a statement about the direction of BMW's Touring models. Its design echoes the shooting brake aesthetic, while maintaining the brand's classic sports DNA. Adrian van Hooydonk, BMW Group Design Director, described the car as "an authentic BMW exuding elegance even when standing still."
The front of the Speedtop boasts the recognizable V-shaped design with "shark nose" accents and thin LED headlights. The illuminated kidney grille and the central line running from the hood to the rear spoiler create a dynamic silhouette. The Floating Sunstone Maroon - Floating Sundown Silver gradient paint emphasizes the car's curves.
The interior is upholstered in a two-tone leather scheme that matches the exterior: Sundown Maroon and Moonstone White. An impressive light strip on the ceiling visually extends the external roof line, creating an atmospheric ambiance. The trunk is lined with leather, perforated in the style of brogues, and softly lit. It's divided into sections and suitable for long journeys.
Legendary Italian manufacturer Schedoni, known for its leather goods for Ferrari and other top brands, contributed to the interior. Leather compartments with Schedoni's signature bags, matching the concept's color scheme, are integrated into the seats.
Under the hood, the Speedtop packs a punch. It's equipped with BMW’s most powerful V8 engine - a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter unit producing over 600 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Specific details are under wraps, but the model aims for high performance and driving pleasure.
Orders for the BMW Concept Speedtop can already be placed through official BMW channels. With its limited production run and high level of craftsmanship, the price is expected to reflect the model's exclusivity.
