Industrial wireless connectivity technology development advances via partnership between LitePoint and Advantech
In an exciting development, Advantech and LitePoint have joined forces to create next-generation industrial-grade Wi-Fi 7 modules. This collaboration aims to accelerate deployment across edge AI, autonomous robotics, smart manufacturing, and AIoT applications.
The new Wi-Fi 7 modules, designed for demanding edge AI, smart manufacturing, and autonomous robotics environments, promise to boost mass-production efficiency and scalability. They are compatible with multiple form factors across various operating systems, ensuring versatility and adaptability.
Advantech's Wi-Fi 7 module features industrial-grade durability (-40°C to 85°C) and MLO stability technology, ensuring reliable performance under harsh industrial conditions. To guarantee the module's performance, the development processes are designed with rigorous testing and validation procedures.
LitePoint's IQxel-MX platform will be utilised for these processes, providing end-to-end RF validation and calibration. The IQxel-MX platform covers critical metrics like transmit power, packet error rate, and spectral mask compliance, ensuring high-precision, fully automated RF testing and validation processes for Wi-Fi 7 modules.
By partnering with LitePoint, Advantech introduces these advanced testing methods, reducing time-to-market for the Wi-Fi 7 modules. The collaboration will also result in faster data rates, lower latency, and more efficient spectrum utilization compared to previous standards, as Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) offers these benefits.
The Wi-Fi 7 module delivers 5.8 Gbps ultra-fast speeds and 1ms ultra-low latency, rivaling 5G NR performance. These impressive specifications position the new modules as a significant step forward in wireless innovation.
In September 2025, LitePoint will host an Advanced Test Technology Seminar, co-showcasing collaboration results with Advantech and Qualcomm. The event will include live Wi-Fi 7 demonstrations, technical presentations, and insights into industrial validation trends. This seminar promises to be an exciting opportunity for industry professionals to learn more about the advancements in Wi-Fi 7 technology.
The Wi-Fi 7 modules have already secured global certifications (FCC, CE), and expansion to additional regions is planned for late 2025. With this collaboration, both Advantech and LitePoint are committed to delivering scalable, fully automated wireless test solutions, driving the connectivity demands of next-gen industrial applications.
Advantech is thrilled to partner with LitePoint in this venture, believing that this collaboration will significantly contribute to wireless innovation and meet the connectivity demands of the future.
